The Guild of British Coach Operators is proud to announce that Williams Coaches of Brecon has been accepted into the membership. Guild Chairman Andrew Richmond said: “We are delighted to welcome another successful and respected operator into the Guild, lifting our membership to 24 companies, with two more soon to be announced. We look forward to them participating fully in the Guild’s activities as we continue to share best practice and showcase excellence in coach travel”.

Williams’ membership certificate was presented at the conclusion of a recent seminar on the impact of the new GDPR (Global Data Protection Regulation), where Guild members came together to hear an expert briefing on this far reaching change to data protection rules, helping members to develop and share best practice.
Now in its 33rd year, the Guild promotes and markets the services of its members, all of whom commit to meeting the highest quality standards, assured by regular independent audits. Prospective members have to achieve a 100% pass before being accepted into the Guild.
The Guild is also registered as a Driver CPC training centre, giving members access to a suite of courses specifically designed for the coach industry.

It is with great pleasure to announce that we have won the Silver Award for Top Medium Fleet Operator at this year’s UK Coach Awards in Blackpool. Through the dedication of all our team from drivers, workshop and office staff, we have been recognised for this significant award. Due to our commitment to the industry the judges had commented that “Williams Coaches provided good evidence of it being a well run and impressive business which empowers its staff and
delivers excellent customer service.”

Yet again this year’s UK Coach Rally did not disappoint as we came away with two awards for Top Mercedes-
It was a privilege to take part in this year’s event in which we got the opportunity to pay a fitting tribute to David Gwyn Williams – the coach has done us and Gwyn proud.

NORMAL SERVICE RESUMED
UK COACH RALLY 2022
After missing two years due to the pandemic, the 66th UK Coach Rally, staged by Coach Displays Ltd, returned to Blackpool seafront for a bracing weekend of competition and celebration. Participants welcomed the opportunity simply to be there and enjoy the regular features of the rally where, running late as ever, seasoned competitors walked away with the top awards.
